STORYLINE

The year is 1973, and the Chilean government has been overthrown by the military. The communist senator Víctor Contreras has been blacklisted and persecuted tirelessly by the agents of the dictatorship. His brother in law, JULIO, father of a numerous family, selflessly offers to secretly shelter him and his two sons, VITOCO and LAUTARO, despite the fact that his political stance opposes his. The soldiers are getting closer, and Julio fears that Victor and his sons will be found exposing him as an accomplice, thus risking his and his family’s life. Eventually, after a painstaking process the senator manages to leave the country with his son Vitoco, while Lautaro decides to stay. Two days later a military raid takes place where Julio and Lautaro are threatened to be shot to death in front of their family.
